As you consider your turkey this year, you might steal some flavor ideas from the chefs at Busch Gardens.Among the holiday food offerings this year for its Christmas Town celebration are turkey legs with cranberry and chipotle glaze and one with a pumpkin cider glaze that’s drizzled with toasted pumpkin seeds.“Creating the Christmas Town menu for Busch Gardens each year gives our team the fun opportunity to offer traditional holiday flavors with a twist," said Brian Kilpatrick, vice president of culinary and merchandise operations at the Tampa theme park. One of the biggest goals when creating treats in a theme park, Kilpatrick said, is that they create “walkable and shareable dishes ... as they dash between our thrill rides and Christmas Town shows, so we’ve focused on transforming classic holiday feast ingredients into unique grab-and-go items.”The three turkey leg flavors debuting this year are: a pumpkin cider glaze that is covered in toasted pumpkin seeds, a maple ginger glaze and a leg glazed in cranberry and chipotle. In addition, other walkable foods this year will include a line-up of carved-meat sliders and festive flatbreads.Christmas Town is open daily Nov. 20-Jan. 3 and is included with admission to Busch Gardens.
