Walt Disney World announced Wednesday through its parks blog that winter-themed water park Blizzard Beach will reopen on March 7, 2021.
Florida’s theme parks closed in mid-March after the pandemic broke out, but have reopened in stages with safety measures in place. Walt Disney World reopened in July, the last of Florida’s theme parks to open the turnstiles.
Blizzard Beach will be celebrating its 25th anniversary as it welcomes back guests for cool, water fun on attractions such as Summit Plummet, a 120-foot waterslide with a near-vertical drop. The park first opened on April 1, 1995.
