Fans of Legoland can snap up half-priced tickets in August and also help the Red Cross disaster relief fund.
Now through Sept. 5, one-day tickets to the Winter Haven theme park can be purchased for $47 through an exclusive online offer at redcross.org/Legoland — a savings of 50 percent off the gate price. And the feel-good bonus is that $10 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Red Cross of Central Florida.
That Red Cross disaster fund has been called on frequently in the wake of increasingly intense hurricanes, floods and wildfires, the organization said in a news release. The fundraiser comes just as Florida is in the midst of hurricane season, Legoland’s president said.
“We are honored to partner with the Red Cross again to help support their disaster relief as the peak of hurricane season starts. This August, you and your family can help our local community while also celebrating our park’s 10th birthday,” said Rex Jackson, Legoland Florida Resort president. In 2019, Legoland held a similar fundraiser to benefit Hurricane Dorian relief in the Bahamas that raised more than $127,000.
The tickets save $50, but the window to use them is narrow. Tickets must be purchased online before Sept. 5, 2021 at redcross.org/Legoland and are valid for park admission Aug. 5-Sept. 15. The theme park says it will donate up to $120,000 in the fundraising campaign.
