Bier Fest: This is the first weekend to explore seasonal brews and new recipes at the fourth annual festival. Sample your way through an outdoor brewery and culinary stations as you stroll through the park on the all-new beer trail. Runs Friday through Sunday through Oct. 31. Included with admission (food/drink additional). 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. Busch Gardens, 10165 N McKinley Drive, Tampa. 813-884-4386.

International Tiki Day: The tiki bar celebrates with Polynesian-inspired barbecue dishes and drinks, along with Mai Thai seminars, rum tastings, limited edition mugs, T-shirts and dancing to music by DJ Brother Cleve. Kick the Bucket List: The World According to AARP: Comedians Scott Novotny, John Carfi and Bob Burr poke fun at growing older with a sense of humor, and is a hilarious mix of stand-up comedy, magic and trips down memory lane. Happy Hour with the Historian: The popular lecture series featuring cocktails and talks by area historians returns on a monthly basis. This month features Bob Kealing presenting “Life of the Party - Brownie Wise’s Tupperware Empire.” $10. 6 p.m. Thursday. Summer Movie Express: Help the kids escape the heat and take them out to a movie for $1. This week features Kung Fu Panda and Despicable Me. Taking place at Regal theaters at Citrus Park 20 in Tampa, Largo Mall 8 in Largo, Park Place Stadium 16 in Pinellas Park and Hollywood 20 in Port Richey. $1. Showtimes vary by theater with screenings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Free Golf for Kids: In an attempt to get children outside and on the golf course, all Ace Golf locations are offering kids ages 5 to 15 a free small bucket of range balls every day through Aug. 31. Or, they can play a full 18 holes of golf on the course for free when accompanied by a paying parent. At the Riverview and Land O Lakes locations, kids can brush up on their putting and substitute a round of miniature golf. Other locations can be found at Pebble Creek, 10550 Regents Park Drive, New Tampa; Plantation Palms, 23252 Plantation Palms Blvd., Land O Lakes; Crescent Oaks, 3300 Crescent Oaks Blvd., Tarpon Springs. Gecko Crawl: Collect cards as you sample drinks in this bar crawl style American Bandstand or gecko-themed poker run at various waterfront bars and restaurants. Stops include Salty’s, Caddy’s, Neptune Grill, Sea Dog Cantina, Gulfport Brewery and North End Tap House. Prizes for best and worst hands. Summer Classics Series: This portion features the 106-minute, PG-rated 1974 comedy Young Frankenstein.
