Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival: The May A-List film selected by TIGLFF board member Marisa Quaresimo is D.E.B.S. In the film, plaid-skirted schoolgirls are groomed by a secret government agency to become the newest members of the elite national-defense group, D.E.B.S. Save a Slice of Paradise: The event to bring attention to the vanishing wilderness in Pinellas County features music by Roger Bartlett (the original guitarist from Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band) and keyboard artist Robin Swenson (best known for his work with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons). Clearwater Beach Dogs: Threshers players and staff take the field in Beach Dogs uniforms, and fans are invited to wear their favorite Beach Dogs gear. Beach Dogs Fridays are also dog-friendly. Fans may bring their dogs to BayCare Ballpark for the game. Dog tickets are $7 and available for walk-up purchases. Dog tickets benefit a different local pet charity that will be on-site.
