A crew of about 15 workers were perched on top of the colorful, football field-sized tent on Wednesday, cleaning it for the opening of the Garden Bros Nuclear Circus Humans Gone Wild, to be held in the parking lot at Tropicana Field this weekend.
“They do this at least once a month,” Michelle Wiertalla, the box office manager, said of the work crew. “It was really dusty in the last town, got to have it looking fresh.”
Garden Bros boasts the “largest big top arena” and the “largest circus on Earth.” The nearly two-hour production features special effects and concert-style sound and lighting with over 60 performers like the human cannonball, aerial artists and the wheel of death. A kids fun zone has a circus pony, a giant slide, a bounce house and face painting.
There will be two shows on Thursday and Friday and three shows on Saturday and Sunday.
