There’s a new restaurant coming to downtown Tampa, right next to the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts.
Melting Pot Social, which they’re calling “MeltSO” for short, will open at 105 W Tyler St. on May 22.
According to a news release, the “whimsical dining experience” is a “creative culinary twist on the classic Melting Pot restaurant,” from the company Front Burner, which owns the Melting Pot. Like the original Melting Pot franchise, which was founded in Tampa, Melting Pot Social will feature customizable cheese and chocolate fondue served with sweet and savory accompaniments like pickle fries and macarons.
The menu will also feature shareable plates like flambeed flatbreads, melted raclette and fondue burgers. And there will be a wide offering of cocktails and craft beer on tap.
”To pay homage to our hometown, MeltSO will introduce signature cocktails like the 813 Spritz, the TPA, and the Smoke on the Bay Old Fashioned, featuring spirits from local craft distilleries,” executive chef Jason Miller said in the release.
Melting Pot Social will be open for dinner seven days a week, for weekday lunch starting May 23 and for weekend brunch starting May 27. Look also for late-night service on Fridays and Saturdays and weekly events like Karaoke Fridays.
