Ice cream trucks scream summertime and Publix has one that is making the rounds locally. Best of all, scoops of the ice cream are free.
The cute white truck is adorned with the slogan, “Savor the Summer” and the store’s logo in green. It will visit Sparkman Wharf in downtown Tampa on June 30 and the St. Pete Pier on July 4.
The truck will serve scoops of limited edition and favorite flavors of Publix ice cream and features a photo booth, games and music to make it a party. All flavors are also available in stores.
The limited edition flavors are:
- Lemon Berry Bliss (lemon crème flavored ice cream with lemonade flavored flakes and blueberry flavored swirls)
- Marry Me Strawberry (strawberry ice cream with ribbons of strawberry flavored sauce and pieces of white chocolate and strawberry pecan bark)
- Chocolate Cookie Quarry (chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie crumb swirls and chunks of chocolate sandwich cookies)
- Cold Brew Cookies & Crème (cold brew coffee ice cream with crème filled chocolate cookie pieces)
- Coffee Almond Fudge (coffee ice cream with a chocolate coffee ribbon and milk chocolate coated almonds)
- Caramel Turtle Cheesecake (cheesecake flavored ice cream swirled with sea salt caramel & milk chocolate caramel turtles and pecans)
- Hula Hula Macadamia (whipped cream flavored ice cream with ribbons of caramel and macadamia brittle)
- Buckeyes & Fudge (peanut butter ice cream loaded with chocolate covered peanut butter buckeye candies and swirls of thick fudge)
Tried and true flavors are Mint Chocolate Chip, Moose Tracks (vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups and swirls of fudge) and Lactose Free Vanilla.
The truck will be in Lakeland at Common Ground Park (1000 E. Edgewood Drive) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on June 29, at Sparkman Wharf (615 Channelside Drive, Tampa) from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. on June 30 and at the St. Pete Pier (600 Second Ave. N.E.) from 4-10 p.m. on July 4.
