Just in time for summer, our furry friends will have a place to cool off while their owners drink when Mutts & Martinis opens in St. Petersburg on May 26.

The full liquor sports bar at 2900 Central Ave. will feature a doggy splash pad and extensive play area.

The business is owned by the folks from Love My Dog Resort and Love My Dog Grooming and Boutique.

Mutts & Martinis announced its grand opening weekend on Instagram.

The festivities start at noon May 26. There will be a DJ all weekend, plus a full bar and light bites.

In order to bring your dog, you must bring proof of updated vaccines: rabies, distemper, parvovirus and Bordetella. Male dogs older than 18 months must be neutered, and all dogs will be temperament-tested.

According to the Mutts & Martinis website, annual membership is $150 for the first dog and $75 for a second dog. A three-month membership is $75 first dog and $25 second dog. Daily passes are $10.
