The owner of Dirty Laundry, No Vacancy, Park & Rec, Good Fortune and Lost and Found has another business brewing in St. Petersburg — and this one will be camping themed.

Summer Camp St. Pete is set to open by the end of the summer in the Grand Central District, announced local hospitality firm Hunger Thirst Group on Friday.

The new bar will is inspired by retro outdoor and campground aesthetics.

There will be custom tents, campfires and a stage outside, the statement said. In the “inside cabin,” there’ll also be a bar and indoor seating. Summer Camp St. Pete will also serve food that tie back to the theme.

It’s the latest themed-concept from Schrutt’s Hunger Thirst Group which opened vintage cocktail lounge Lost and Found and Asian fusion restaurant Good Fortune last year and laundromat speakeasy Dirty Laundry in 2021. Schrutt stated he got the idea for Summer Camp when scouting another location with outdoor space. While that deal didn’t close, the idea stuck with him and he found another space at 2060 1st Ave. S.

“I think it’s unique because it’s something a lot of people can relate to,” founder of Hunger Thirst Group Stephen Schrutt said in a statement. “Growing up we got to experience different types of summer camps–the cabins, the campground, the friends, the events and sports, hanging around the campfires, the fun times and the memories we made. I’ve lived here over a decade and I’m always excited about making a place for people to enjoy, and just bringing them together to have a good time.”

Once it debuts, doors will open at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 12 p.m. on weekends.
