There’s good news for fans of Tampa’s Wat Mongkolratanaram Sunday market and temple, a beautiful temple with a popular food market that Thai food lovers flock to. It was closed for a year due to COVID-19, but it has partially reopened with drive-thru service.

The temple’s website states “access to the Temple grounds is limited to Drive-Through Sunday Market.”

Rules are strict. You must remain in your car with your mask on at all times while on temple grounds. Drivers follow signs to stations serving each food item. Volunteers come to your car, take your order and deliver your food. Dining tables are closed, so food must be consumed off the premises.

The limited menu of favorites includes:

  • Beef Noodle Soup: Regular Noodle or Angel Hair
  • Pork Noodle Soup: Regular Noodle or Angel Hair
  • Vegetable Noodle Soup: Regular Noodle or Angel Hair
  • Pad Thai
  • Fresh Roll - Shrimp
  • Fresh Roll - Chicken
  • Fresh Roll - Vegetable
  • Empanadas
  • Crab Rangoon
  • Ice Thai - Tea
  • Ice Thai - Coffee
  • Water & Soda

All items must be paid for in cash only. The market is located at 5306 Palm River Road, Tampa. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday.
