Lutz residents can satisfy their hankering for chips and guacamole and margaritas on April 17, when Baja-style taco restaurant Fuzzy’s Taco Shop opens a new location at 11 a.m.
The first 50 customers will get free tacos for a year. Winners will receive two free tacos each week, and are required to have an active rewards account to redeem them. The tacos will be loaded to their rewards app at the beginning of each week and must be used within that week, or the offer expires.
Free T-shirts also go to the first 50 customers.
The fast-casual restaurant offers Mexican fare including fire-roasted salsa, Baja tacos, breakfast tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas and salads. Breakfast is served all day, and a children’s menu is also available. Locally, there are locations in Riverview, Brandon, Tampa and Lakeland.
Fuzzy’s also features a full bar serving margaritas, cocktails and beer.
The 3,200-square-foot restaurant is owned and operated locally by FTB Services. It has a covered patio, a chandelier made of Corona beer bottles and a mural painted by a local artist in the dining room.
“We’re excited to bring Fuzzy’s Taco Shop to Lutz and know our scratch-made food and chill vibes will really resonate with the community,” owner Ian Lieberman said in a news release. “The Lutz area has grown considerably in the last few years, and we feel Fuzzy’s is going to be a great fit with all the families and businesses who have come to the market.”
Founded in 2003 in Fort Worth, Texas, Fuzzy’s now has 138 franchise and corporate-owned locations in 18 states.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
