Drive-in movie: TASCO, the city of St. Petersburg’s teen arts and sports organization, is hosting a drive-in movie night Friday with Uncle Drew, the comedy based on the elderly streetball character NBA all-star Kyrie Irving created for a Pepsi commercial. The film has an all-star comedic and athletic roster, with Shaquille O’Neal and Chris Webber among the players and comedians Tiffany Haddish and Mike Epps, among others. 2. Free Golf for Kids: This is the last week for kids to take advantage of this deal at all Ace Golf locations, which are offering kids ages 5 to 15 a free small bucket of range balls every day through Aug. 31. Or, they can play a full 18 holes of golf on the course for free when accompanied by a paying parent. At the Riverview and Land O’ Lakes locations, kids can brush up on their putting and substitute a round of miniature golf. 3. Beach Dog Day at Clearwater Threshers: The team will have 50-cent hot dogs and give away Beach Dogs beach towels for this fun night with the team in their Beach Dogs jerseys and caps. The promotion, which was rescheduled from July 30, will also have half-priced beverages and $3.50 craft beers (normally $7). 4. Summer Fun Days: Wawa is springing for free admission for families at the historic Bok Tower Gardens on the last Friday of the month this summer. The grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., a landscape architect who also helped design the National Mall, Jefferson Memorial and White House grounds. In addition to the garden, there is a 205-foot Singing Tower with carillon bells that play at 1 and 3 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays.
