Lonely boy and girl fans of the Black Keys can do the romp with the garage-blues duo when they bring their World Tour of America to Jannus Live on Sept. 21.
Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach broke on the scene in 2002 with their album The Big Come Up. In 2010, their sixth album Brothers reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. That album and its hit single, Tighten Up (which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart), won Grammy Awards. In 2012, the band released the album El Camino featuring the hit Lonely Boy, both of which also won Grammy Awards.
They’re touring in support of their latest album, Delta Kream, which consists of covers of Delta and Mississippi Hill Country blues songs, including ones by R. L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. The concert features special guest Robert Finley.
Advance tickets are $79.50 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at jannuslive.com.
