Update: The first of three Tampa Eras Tour shows has passed, and we’ve updated the list below with our findings. Read our music reporter’s concert review for more.
The last time Taylor Swift came to Tampa, it was to visit a sold-out Raymond James Stadium for her Reputation Tour — a red and black explosion filled with snake imagery, fireworks and songs that threw cutting barbs at her critics.
That was Aug. 15, 2018, exactly one year after a jury sided with her in a Denver courtroom during her sexual assault case. Bathed in light, she sat alone at her piano and gave her fans a rare glimpse at her emotions as she reflected on being a survivor. Her fans showed support by waving single dollar bills in the air.
Once again, the pop superstar is visiting during a moment when the public is watching closely (though when are they not, with her?) Her three tour dates at RayJay will mark her first public performances since rumors swirled of a breakup with her beau of six years, English actor Joe Alwyn.
Already some fans have been analyzing set lists from before and after the breakup is said to have taken place. Most notably, shrewd Swifties pointed out the singer phased out the love song “Invisible String″ for breakup tune “The 1” at a show in Texas.
“You think you can just scroll and know the set list,” Swift said to her fans that night. “Let it be said about the Eras Tour, we’re tricksy. We have got healthy set list hijinks.”
For the most part, though, Swift is sticking to the same 44-song setlist across the tour. Her performance will be broken down into various eras. According to setlist.fm, some songs may be shortened or extended, and song 36 and 37 have been surprise acoustic selections that change each night.
