On Monday, country star Brad Paisley announced three special outdoor shows in Florida this July, including a stop on July 9 at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.
Paisley is bringing along emerging music stars Jimmie Allen and Kameron Marlowe for the shows, which will also be in Jacksonville (July 8) and West Palm Beach (July 10).
The show will be at 75 percent capacity and tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com.
Paisley, who might be known to non-country music fans for his funny commercials with former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning for Nationwide insurance, has won three Grammys, two American Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards and 15 Academy of Country Music Awards.
He’s a fixture in the Tampa Bay music scene, with concerts here just about every year. He was last announced as part of Tampa’s Live Nation Country Megaticket, but it was called off in 2020.
Jimmie Allen, who just this week was announced as the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Artist of the Year, made history as the first Black artist to launch a career with two consecutive No. 1 hits on country radio: Best Shot and Make Me Want To. Marlowe, a former contestant on NBC’s The Voice, went viral with his independently released debut single, Giving You Up.
