In an unusual move for a country music tour, critically acclaimed Texas trio Midland is making a short run of its Back to the Minors Tour with concerts at minor league baseball parks this summer, including Tampa’s Steinbrenner Field.

The two-time Grammy Award-nominated band was formed by three friends in Dripping Spring, Texas. They have played at major music festivals and concerts since first taking the stage in 2017 with their hit Drinkin’ Problem. Last year’s release Cheatin’ Songs, charted on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.

A short six-night run of baseball fields will get Midland in the batter’s box as the warm-up for regular concert tours again. They will be playing George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa on July 31.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, starting at $29 at midlandofficial.com/tour.
