Erykah Badu, the queen of Neo-Soul, comes to Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Oct. 29. She’s bringing special guests, Southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob and Houston-based rapper Scarface. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Badu’s first album Baduizm won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album in 1997, and its single On and On won for Best Female R&B Performance. Among her vast song catalogue are fan favorites Bag Lady, Window Seat, Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop) and the iconic Tyrone.
She last performed in Tampa in 2016, when she headlined the Gasparilla Music Festival.
