Pinellas — Zinfandel
Zinfandel is a laid back, 3-month-old kitten. She loves to follow around her foster brother and curl up in a lap to nap. Her foster family says, “Zinf is definitely like a sweet, fine wine. She’ll only get better with age.” To meet her, call her foster family between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at (727) 545-1116.
Hernando — Monroe
Monroe is a 4-year-old black and white female Labrador Retriever mix. She knows basic commands, loves car rides and eats gently. She gets along well with children, but hates cats and requires a meet and greet to get along with other dogs. Monroe is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. For more information, call Hernando County Animal Services at (352) 796-5062, or e-mail AC@hernando.fl.us.
Pasco — Bambi
Bambi is a 4-month-old male cat. Even though he’s young, he prefers to lay around a lot, but will play if you initiate it. He’s shy, but warms up with patience. Once he gets to know you, he wants to be held, petted and purrs really loud. To meet him, call the SPCA Suncoast at (727) 849-1048.
Manatee — Amelia
Amelia is a 4-year-old terrier mix. She was found roaming the streets with serious injuries and brought to the shelter for extensive treatment. Unfortunately, unrepairable tissue damage caused the necessity for her ears to be amputated. She loves people, giving kisses and gets along well with other dogs. “The poor thing went through a lot, but she is so happy go lucky,” said Monica Morgan of the Humane Society of Manatee County. To meet Amelia, e-mail email@example.com or call (941) 747-8808, ext. 313.
Hillsborough — Blossom
Blossom’s foster family isn’t sure how old she is, but they say she definitely shows her gratitude for her temporary home. She’s a smoky gray adult cat with a marshmallow white neck and olive green eyes. To meet and adopt her, go to stfrancisrescue.org, or find them on Facebook at StFrancisAnimalRescue.
