Hernando — Leonard
Leonard is a 3-year-old, 100-pound, white and pink male Potbelly Pig. Sadly, Leonard escaped from his fenced yard. When a neighbor returned him, the gate was locked and the previous owner refused to claim him from the shelter. He’s very social, smart, likes horses and is looking for the special someone with the space he needs to play. If you’re that person, call the Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062.
Pasco — Pyke
Pyke is a 3-year-old, brindle male dog. This goofy guy loves to go on walks. Grab his leash and his eyes light up and he jumps around. He’s a bit skittish around new things, so slow introductions to humans and animal friends is recommended. To give him a forever home, call the Pasco County Animal Services at 813-929-1212.
Pinellas — Minnie
Minnie is an 11-year-old, female mixed breed dog. She’s a gentle, loving old lady who just wants a family to watch over. She’s calm and only needs a comfy bed and snuggles from humans to keep her happy. She’s spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you’d like to meet her, call Friends of Strays at 727-522-6566.
Manatee — Flora
Flora is an 8-year-old, 52-pound female mixed breed dog. She has allergies, but like humans, daily medication relieves her discomfort. Her motto is “play all day,” so she’s very active and agile. She prefers to be the queen of the castle, so she’s best suited as the only animal in the house. If you want to tire her out and spoil her rotten, call Bishop Animal Shelter at 941-792-2863.
Hillsborough — Sophie
Sophie is a spirited senior Pekinese. She loves dressing up, lounging in the sun and other pets. Give her a snuggle, put down her bowl and she dances for her meal. She comes spayed, vaccinated, housebroken and microchipped. If you’d like to see if her easy going personality matches yours, contact Second Chance Friends online at secondchancefriends.org.
