Manatee — Duke

Duke is a mixed-breed dog of unknown age. He’s a total lovebug. He gives gentle kisses, rolls over for belly rubs and snuggles as close to humans as possible. He’s dog-friendly and loves play time with dogs of any age or size. After a hard play session, he’s ready for a long nap on the couch. If you’d like to meet him, contact the Humane Society of Manatee County at 941-747-8808.

Pasco — Fondue

Fondue is a 3-year-old, mixed-breed female dog. She has a big goofy smile and bright eyes. She loves to play and lounge around, but prefers to be the only animal in the house. It takes her a little time to learn to navigate new spaces, so extra training is recommended after she first enters your home. To meet her, contact Pasco County Animal Services at 813-929-1212.

Pinellas — Gizmo

Gizmo is a 9-year-old, pure-breed, male Cocker Spaniel. His former owners neglected him and abandoned him with rotting teeth, glaucoma that caused him to go blind and severely bulging eyes that had to be removed. Even though he’s blind, he does great with humans and other dogs. All Gizmo wants is someone to give him love and a warm bed. If you’d like to adopt him, contact Friends of Strays at 727-522-6566.

Gizmo was severely neglected. He was blind from glaucoma and had to have his eyes removed because they bulged so far out they irritated him.
