Pasco — Sandy

Sandy is a 6-year-old female dog of unknown breed. She’s playful and smart. She knows how to sit, shake and calmly walk on a leash. Sandy is friendly with everyone and loves belly rubs. She is fine with other dogs, but does require an introduction and time to get acquainted. She doesn’t like to share her food with other animals. To meet her, call the Pasco County Animal Services at 813-929-1212.

Pinellas — Zeke

Zeke is a 2-year-old male mixed breed dog. Zeke’s past is unknown, but he will require a home that helps him regain trust in humans. After some time, he’s your best friend. He loves to go for walks and play outside. Apartment life and homes with small children are not recommended. For information, call Friends of Strays at 727-522-6566.

Hernando — Shelby

Shelby is a 5-year-old female tricolor Catahoula mix. Shelby hasn’t had an easy life. She was frightened upon impound and hid under her bed during a rain storm. Smaller kennels seem to give her comfort. She requires a patient owner who can give her time to come out of her shell. For more information, contact Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062.

Manatee — Quincy

Quincy is a 3-year-old male mixed breed dog. He’s very energetic and requires daily exercise. He loves toys, leash walks and people. He quickly warms up to everyone and is happy to give doggie hugs. Hillsborough — DaLat

DaLat is a 1-year-old male domestic short haired cat. He is named after the “City of Eternal Spring.” DaLat and his bonded brother Hue were rescued from dangerous outdoor elements as preemie kittens. DaLat is the more confident kitten and brings comfort to his brother. Both are playful and love people. To adopt them, go to StFrancisRescue.org.
