Petey and Lizzy (Manatee)

Petey is 7 and Lizzy is 10. They are a bonded pair of cats and must be adopted together. Shelter workers rescued them after their owner suddenly died. The laid-back pair enjoy hanging out in the shelter’s office. Petey is a curious cat. He explores the desk but avoids the keyboard. Lizzy lounges under the desk and supervises. Both are a little hefty and have been placed on a diet. For more information, go to mymanatee.org/pets.

Lucy (Hillsborough)

Lucy is an 8-year-old female beagle mix. She has found herself in need of a home because of her owner’s declining health. Caretakers at her current mom’s assisted living facility love Lucy, but they can’t take care of both of them. They say she would do best in a home with another calm senior who has time for her.
