Peach (Pasco)

Peach is a 4-year-old female dog of unknown breed. She is energetic and likes to be fun, but can also be sweet and gentle. She is attentive, knows some basic commands and takes treats gently. Peach is selective when it comes to dog friends and prefers calm ones. Slow introductions are required when meeting new dogs. She also doesn’t like to share her food. Hernando (Mondo)

Mondo is a white-and-brown male terrier mix of unknown age. He is a calm, medium-energy dog who is very treat motivated. He will jump and sit atop a pedestal to await his treats. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog in the home. For more information, call Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062.

Zoey (Manatee)

Zoey is a 6-year-old mixed-breed female dog. She arrived at the shelter after her owner died. She is affectionate and sweet. Zoey is very smart and knows some commands. She enjoys going for walks and just sitting by your side. She is loyal and loving. Her large ears are one of her distinguishing features. Shelter volunteers say she never grew into them. Fitzgerald (Pinellas)

Fitzgerald is one of five kittens rescued from a car dealership in June. He was bottle-fed by his foster mom. To meet or adopt Fitz and his four siblings, call Save Our Strays at 727-545-1116.

Charlotte (Hillsborough)

Charlotte is a 5-month-old female mixed-breed dog. In foster care with her sister, they were sickly and nursed back to health. Both are dog- and cat-friendly, playful and snuggly. Charlotte is currently in crate training. For more information, email puptowngirlsfl@gmail.com.
