Lindsey Graham says Marco Rubio 'not quite ready' to be president

As Sen. Marco Rubio works to turn away from immigration reform, he's found solid footing in foreign policy. But a fellow hawk says Rubio, 43, isn't ready to be president.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., was discussing foreign policy with the Weekly Standard and suggested that if no one running for president is making strong foreign policy stands, "?I may just jump in to get to make these arguments."

Author Stephen Hayes writes: I asked Graham about Rubio. Hasn't he been making many of the arguments you'd be likely to make? Graham wasn't impressed. "He's a good guy, but after doing immigration with him—we don't need another young guy not quite ready," said Graham. "He's no Obama by any means, but he's so afraid of the right, and I've let that go."

Graham and Rubio were members of the immigration Gang of 8. Rubio has tried to pivot away from that subject (the right that Graham alludes to above left a mark) by diving into proposals that would help the middle class and emerging as a prominent voice on American involvement overseas.
