Ron Perlman announced for Tampa Bay Comic Convention

The comic book and pop culture convention has announced some of its 2019 celebrity guests.

Actor Ron Perlman is the first celebrity guest announced for the 2019 Tampa Bay Comic Convention, formerly known as Tampa Bay Comic Con.

Perlman's most relevant work is playing the title character in the 2004 comic book adaptation Hellboy, and its 2008 sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, both directed by Guillermo del Toro

More recently he portrayed outlaw motorcycle gang leader Clarence "Clay" Morrow on the FX series Sons of Anarchy. Other geeky-minded roles include his voiceover work narrating the Fallout video game franchise and voicing Clayface, Killer Croc and other DC villains in various animated Batman projects.

Also announced for the three-day event returning to Tampa Convention center Aug. 2 to 4, is actress Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films and Amy Jo Johnson, who played the Pink Ranger on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The convention will also feature a number of comic artists, creators, vendors and cosplayers.

Tickets, which currently range from $30 to $60 are on sale now at tampabaycomicconvention.com.
