With the kids out of school for winter break, the Sunset Cinema at Pier 60 is expanding its free movie offerings on Clearwater Beach beyond its regular weekend showings.

One more thing to brag about to the relatives back in the cold north: We have free movies on the beach every night this week starting Wednesday, the day after Christmas, with Trolls (PG).

The lineup is pretty great, including the critically acclaimed Mr. Rogers pic, Won’t You Be My Neighbor? (PG-13) on Thursday.

The rest includes some cult favorite, family friendly movies:

The Little Mermaid (2018) (PG) on Friday.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (PG-13) on Saturday

Finding Dory (PG) on Sunday

Solo: A Star Wars Story (PG-13) on New Year’s Eve

Bring blankets or low lawn chairs to watch the free films on a jumbo-sized screen. No alcohol. The movies begin at dust, approximately 5:45 p.m. Wednesday-Monday. Pier 60, 10 Pier 60 Drive, Clearwater. Free. (727) 449-1036.
