97X Barbecue lineup: Taking Back Sunday, Blue October lead as festival moves to Clearwater

This year's 97X Barbecue Music and Arts Festival is going to feel a bit like a time machine.

Veteran alt-rockers Taking Back Sunday and Blue October, who have played a combined seven 97X shows over the years, will headline this year's festival, set for May 18. Joining them on the lineup will be relative new-schoolers Shaed, Grandson, Flora Cash, Oliver Tree and Matt Maeson.

If that's not enough of a nostalgia trip for you, try this on: The festival is moving from Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg to Coachman Park in Clearwater, home to the station's Next Big Thing festival until 2005. Taking Back Sunday actually played Next Big Thing in Coachman Park way back in 2004. And they'll almost certainly be playing some of the same songs this time around. To commemorate their 20th anniversary, the Long Island emo group has launched a world tour in which they'll be playing one of three seminal alums in full: 2002's Tell All Your Friends, 2004's Where You Want to Be and 2006's Louder Now.

Tickets to the 97X Barbecue Music and Arts Festival start at $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. today. Click here for details.
