Here's a little pre-Halloween pop treat coming your way.
EDM hitmakers the Chainsmokers and Aussie boy-rock sensations 5 Seconds of Summer are teaming up for a tour, and it's coming to Tampa this fall. They'll play Amalie Arena on Oct. 25, with Lennon Stella opening. Tickets are $25.75 and up. Click here for details.
It'll be the Chainsmokers' first local show since a debacle last spring where they were announced as headliners for the 2018 Sunset Music Festival, then un-announced hours later. While their magic pop touch has dimmed just a bit since singles like Closer, Don't Let Me Down, Roses and Something Just Like This lit up the charts from 2015 to 2017, they're still among the top EDM-pop draws in the land.
And adding 5 Seconds to Summer is a big deal, too. The band is featured on the Chainsmokers' new single Who Do You Love, and their 2018 album Youngblood both debuted at No. 1 and marked a sonic leap forward.
