The doctor is coming in.

Ken Jeong, the physician-turned-comic actor who broke big with roles in The Hangover and Community, is going on tour, and coming to Clearwater. He'll perform at Ruth Eckerd Hall on April 20. Tickets are $38.75 and up, and they go on sale Friday.

Jeong isn't necessarily best known for live comedy, but rather for scene-stealing roles in flicks like Knocked Up and Crazy Rich Asians. But with last week's Netflix special You Complete Me, Ho, he seems to be branching out -- even more so than when he traded his career in medicine for comedy.

"I hadn't done standup in 10 years," he told NPR recently. "I wasn't worried so much about the audience. I just wondered if I had anything to say. And it takes -- really, if you get really perfectionistic about (it), which I am, it can take 10 years to really write 10 good minutes."
