Mary Poppins. Maria von Trapp. Eliza Doolittle. Cinderella. Victor and Victoria.
Julie Andrews has played them all throughout her storied Hollywood career. And this fall, local audiences will get to hear her talk about it.
The 83-year-old Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winner is coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater for an evening of conversation on Nov. 13. Tickets start at $72.50 and go on sale to the public May 10, but Ruth Eckerd Hall members can buy tickets starting today. Click here for details.
The appearance will be part of a promotional tour behind her forthcoming second memoir, Home Work, about her career in show business. It is not a concert -- Andrews lost her singing voice following vocal cord surgery in the '90s, and has rarely performed live since. Instead, Andrews and her daughter and co-author Emma Walton Hamilton will chat and share stories about her career, and Andrews will take select questions from the audience.
Andrews will also appear at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota on Nov. 14. Tickets to that show go on sale May 10. Click here for details.
