-- Remember when illusionist Criss Angel survived the implosion of Clearwater Beach's old Spyglass Motel? What a 2008 thing that was. Anyway, the Mindfreak is coming back to Clearwater with a performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Dec. 13. Tickets are $48.75 and up. Click here.

-- Coheed and Cambria are regulars at Jannus Live and even the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, but they're taking their proggish sounds to the Mahaffey Theater this fall, and it's all for a good cause. They'll headline 98 Rock's "Rocktoberbreast," a show benefitting breast cancer research on Oct. 18. The Contortionist and Astronoid are also on the bill. Tickets go on sale Friday. Click here.

-- Some new shows coming to the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater: Los Lobos on Feb. 13 ($35 and up, click here), Michael Feinstein on Feb. 18 ($39.50 and up, click here), former Queensryche singer Geoff Tate performing Empire and Rage For Peace in full on March 17 ($29 and up, click here), and "Meat Loaf presents Bat," a tribute by his band, the Neverland Express, fronted by former American Idol winner Caleb Johnson on Jan. 10 ($29 and up, click here).

-- Two very different comics are coming to the Tampa Theatre: The wild and unrestrained Eric Andre on Nov. 9 ($43.75 and up, click here), and the deliberative and minimalist Demetri Martin on Jan. 18 ($38.50 and up, click here).

-- Noise-rockers Daughters will perform at the Orpheum on Dec. 15, alongside Health and Show Me the Body. Tickets are $22 and up. Click here.

-- Two mononymic rappers from the early 2000s are coming to the Ritz Ybor for upcoming "Throwback Thursdays" shows: Chingy on Sept. 5 (click here) and Twista on Oct. 3 (click here). Both shows are $10.
