It's not exactly Wilco. But considering the setting, it'll more than suffice.

Jeff Tweedy, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter behind Wilco and Uncle Tupelo, has announced a solo concert at the historic Tampa Theatre in Tampa. The show, presented by WMNF-FM 88.5, will feature songs from throughout Tweedy's prolific career, including his new solo album Warm, which drops this Friday. James Elkington will open. Click here for details.

Tickets for the show start at $40 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. And considering Wilco hasn't played Tampa Bay since 2013, they might go quickly. That's especially true since Tweedy's in the news a lot these days, thanks to the album and his recently released memoir Let's Go (So We Can Go Back).

As an aside, it's yet another impressive booking for WMNF in 2018, including Cracker/Camper Van Beethoeven in January and Lucinda Williams/Drive-By Truckers and JD McPherson in February. It's like the best Tropical Heatwave ever, just spread out over several weeks.
