The way things have gone for ZZ Top the last few years, you never know when your next chance to see them might be your last.

Over the past few years, they've canceled or postponed four dates across Tampa Bay, all due to various ailments and illnesses on the part of bassist Dusty Hill. But they've refused to hand in their cheap sunglasses for good -- and as a result, have managed to stick around for a 50th anniversary tour launching later this year.

That tour will hit Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Oct. 19, the band announced Monday. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Click here for details.

Joining the sharp-dressed men from Texas will be some fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers from Rockford, Ill.: Cheap Trick. It'll once again be something of a homecoming for singer Robin Zander, who lives in Safety Harbor. And it'll mean the night is chockablock with timeless FM hits, from La Grange and Gimme All Your Lovin' to Dream Police and Surrender.
