One dead, two hurt in shootout at Brandon home, Sheriff’s Office says

BRANDON — One man is dead and two people were injured during shootings Saturday night, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Just before 9:30 p.m., deputies were called to a home in the 4000 block of Forecast Drive for a report of a possible shooting.

They found two victims, both conscious, with gunshot wounds. A third victim was found at the home, a man, dead from a gunshot wound.

The dead man was the original shooter, detectives said, and he was shot by one of the others.

The other two victims were taken to a hospital.

All three were acquainted with one another, the Sheriff’s Office said. Why the shooting occurred is still under investigation.
