Fountains resident's art selected for national calendar: Stella Szemela, a 95-year-old resident of The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, has been featured in the Expressions 2018 Calendar, a calendar that celebrates active aging and the arts. Her oil painting, titled "Magnolias," was selected from entries nationwide to be included in the full-color wall calendar and will be featured during the month of February.e_SClB, Pinellas Park resident wins modeling award: Pinellas Park resident Hannah Rancourt, a local model, won female commercial model of the year at the International Modeling & Talent Association competition in New York and was offered and signed a modeling contract with New York Model Management. e_SClBSt. Pete native graduates basic training : U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jamira L. Porter graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Porter is the daughter of James and Alita Porter of St. Petersburg and is a 2017 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.
