Mr. and Mrs. Countryside named for 2018: The 22nd Mr. and Mrs. Countryside were recently announced. Richard Adelson, an architect responsible for the design and construction of more than 350 buildings through the southeast, was named Mr. Countryside, and Diana Kopec, who has volunteered with several organizations including Women of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, the parents' association of Safety Harbor Middle School, Skycrest Christian School and Tarpon Springs High School and the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts Band Boosters, was named Mrs. Countryside. The two will be honored at a reception on Wednesday at the Countryside Country Club, 3001 Countryside Blvd., Clearwater, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Clearwater resident receives Lifetime Achievement Award for scouting: Clearwater resident Domenick Corigliano was presented with the President Lifetime Achievement Award for volunteering over 4,000 hours of community service for Boy Scouts on World Scout day. Corigliano also received a letter from the White House. His employer, Lockheed Martin Corporation, will donate to Clearwater Scout Troop 484, where Corigliano is an Assistant Scoutmaster.

General Federation of Women's Clubs Florida District 14, Publix Northwood Plaza donate school supplies : The General Federation of Women's Clubs Florida District 14 with Publix at Northwood Plaza of Clearwater, donated more than $1,000 in school supplies to children at risk in Pinellas County. Publix Northwood Plaza store manager Carrie Williams and grocery manager Brandon Creery gave bags filled with paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons and other school supplies to the GFWC, which distributed the school supplies to several area nonprofits, including The Haven of RCS, Raising Hope and High Point Neighborhood Family Center.
