Need a ride for Gasparilla? Captain Morgan, Lyft can help

Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla prates Jay Langford, left, along with brothers Dave Kelly, center, and Bob Kelly hold beads after arriving at Lykes Gaslight Park on Tuesday in downtown Tampa. The pirates demanded the key to the city from Mayor Bob Buckhorn, who (for now) refused to give it up. TAMPA — Need a ride home after Gasparilla? The captain's going to help with that.

Captain Morgan Rum and Lyft have teamed up to give away $20,000 worth of discount ridesharing vouchers for Saturday's Gasparilla Parade of Pirates.

There are limits, of course.

The vouchers are only for those 21 and older. The discounted rides are only available from 12 p.m. through midnight. And it is limited to rides to and from within 5 miles of Tampa "proper" (sorry, south Hillsborough County.)

The discount will go to the first 1,000 users who enter the promo code "LIKEACAPTAIN" in the Lyft app. They'll each receive a $20 discount on rides.
