Police identify man shot dead at Temple Terrace apartment

Two men are being sought for questioning in the death of Tyler Drejon Ford, 21, who was found Tuesday at the Boardwalk at Morris Bridge Apartments.

TEMPLE TERRACE — Police on Friday released the name of a man killed Tuesday evening in shooting at an apartment complex.

Police responded about 6:30 p.m. to a shooting call in the 8700 block of Boardwalk Path, at the Boardwalk at Morris Bridge Apartments, and found 21-year-old Tyler Drejon Ford of Temple Terrace dead from a gunshot wound, according to Temple Terrace police.

A second shooting victim was treated at a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said. Police have not released the injured victim’s name or any additional details about the shooting.

Investigators are searching for two men who might have information about the shooting.

They are Iver Leon Rogers II, 22, of Tampa, and Marcus Leauan King, 38, of Brandon. Investigators believe one of the men was driving a green Kia Soul spotted at the apartment complex about the time of the shooting.

Police asked anyone with information about the shooting or the whereabouts of Rogers or King to call the Temple Terrace Police Department, (813) 989-7110.
