Nine people hospitalized after bus overturns on I-4 in Orlando

The incident happened around noon on westbound I-4 near Orange Blossom Trail.

A public transportation bus in Orlando overturned on Interstate-4 in Orlando on Tuesday afternoon, sending nine of its riders to the hospital and closing traffic westbound on the highway near Orange Blossom Trail, officials say.

The Orlando Fire Department responded to the crash but has not yet identified its cause.

Of the nine injured, four of the victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, three to Dr. Phillips Hospital and two to Millenia ER, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The fire department tweeted that hazmat crews remain on scene for an oil leak.

The Orlando Police Department shared on Twitter that none of the victim’s injuries appear to be life-threatening.
