Florida girl, 3, found safe after Amber Alert issued

A 3-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been found safe.

Authorities say Madeline Mejia was last seen in the area of the 600 block of East Orange Street in Apopka.

She was last seen in a black, two-door sedan with Texas plates and lightly tinted windows. The car was driven by a male wearing a blue shirt and jeans. He has long brown hair and facial hair.

Police initially described the case as an abduction. No other details were released.
