A 28-year-old Hudson man was killed in a crash in Pasco County Wednesday night.

The crash occurred about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Clayton Boulevard and Hudson Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Hudson Avenue when a 68-year-old Hudson man driving a car north on Clayton made a left turn in front of him. The motorcycle hit the car.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

No information about potential charges was released.

Troopers also did not release the names of the motorcyclist or the driver of the car, citing their interpretation of Marsy’s Law, a constitutional amendment passed by voters in 2018. The law is meant to protect crime victims, but it deprives the public of information that had long been made available in Florida under the state’s public records law.
