Vehicle fire cuts traffic to one northbound lane on Howard Frankland Bridge

ST. PETERSBURG — A vehicle fire delayed traffic along the northbound Howard Frankland Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

A Range Rover caught fire at mile marker 35 about 2 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Three lanes were blocked off as troopers helped direct traffic around the accident.

The fire was caused by a mechanical failure and no one was injured, the Highway Patrol said.
