Two rescued from vehicle after it plunges into Dade City pond

Bystanders pulled the occupants out of the car. The driver suffered a medical emergency, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

DADE CITY — Two people were rescued from a vehicle that drove into a pond at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Gus Way on Saturday afternoon, firefighters say.

The driver suffered a medical emergency, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

One of the people was was rescued was flown to a hospital for medical treatment. The medical condition of the other person was not disclosed. The agency did not release their names.
