Plant City man wins $1 million from Florida lottery scratch-off game

The $30 game that launched in February and features 155 top prizes of $1,000,000 and more than $948 million in total cash prizes.

A Plant City man has won $1 million from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 scratch-off game, Florida Lottery officials announced.

Rafael Rivera, 67, chose to receive his prize as a lump-sum of $790,000, according to a news release from the Florida Lottery.

Rivera bought his ticket from Presco Food Store, 4612 State Road 574 in Plant City. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 is a $30 game that launched in February and features 155 top prizes of $1,000,000 and more than $948 million in total cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.79, lottery officials said.

Lottery officials said scratch-off games make up about 69 percent of ticket sales and brought in more than $965 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in fiscal year 2018-19.
