ST. PETERSBURG — A man was killed in a Monday morning shooting, and the suspect fled the scene, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Police said they were called at about 11:30 a.m. to 1743 Yale Street S. They found the victim, 29-year-old Antonio Long, dead inside the home. Police spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez said the home is a rental and Long was not someone whose name was on the lease, but officers are still unsure whether he lived at the home.

Fernandez said no detailed description of the suspect was available, only reports of somebody running from the scene. K9 units searched the area with no luck.
