A Clearwater man, 47, died after a near head-on crash Thursday night with a driver that lost control on Belleair Road.
A 24-year-old Temple Terrace woman was driving west, near South Lake Avenue, and the man was driving east.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, “for unknown reason” the woman “failed to maintain control” of her SUV and entered the eastbound lane, colliding nearly head-on with the man in his pickup truck. He was taken to a hospital and later died.
She has serious injuries. No other information was available.
