TAMPA — A man was shot and fatally wounded by security guards early Saturday at the Flow Hookah Lounge, police say.
Officers arrived at the scene of the shooting at 2312 W Waters Ave. about 6 a.m.
The incident started when there was a fight inside the club, according to Tampa police. A man was escorted out of the lounge by security.
Police say the man went to his vehicle, got a gun and started shooting. Security guards fired back, wounding the man.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital, where police said he later died of his injuries.
Police did not release the name of the man who was killed, or any other information about the incident. Police did not say how many security guards were involved or how many gunshots were fired. The investigation is continuing.
