CLEARWATER — Three people were seriously injured in a Friday night crash that closed parts of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Keene Road for several hours, authorities said.

First-responders were first notified of the crash at 10:16 p.m. Friday, according to Clearwater police. A northbound Ford F-350 pickup truck on Keene Road attempted to turn left onto Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and collided with an Acura heading south on Keene Road.

The Acura’s driver and passenger both suffered life-threatening injuries. The former was flown to Tampa General Hospital while the latter was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg hospital. The truck’s driver was also transported to Bayfront as a trauma alert.
