Victim shot in leg during fight at Clearwater Chick-fil-A, police say

CLEARWATER — A man was shot in the leg Friday morning during a fight at a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Clearwater police were called about 7:45 a.m. about an incident at the Chick-fil-A at 2516 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd.

The shooting victim, identified by police as Victor Marquez, 20, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa and was in stable condition Friday afternoon, police said.

Police later arrested Jack Colston, 20, on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting within an occupied building and carrying a concealed firearm.

Police said the two men were apparently arguing about money before the shooting occurred.
